The 3rd International Conference on Managing Urban Land
is presented by CABERNET and EPORA, in association with University of Nottingham, UK and Umweltbundesamt (Federal Environment Agency), Germany.
“Urban Land Management in Times of Crisis”
CABERNET 2009, the first European conference on land management policies, aims to promote the sharing of ideas, knowledge and expertise in fields as varied as good practices, problem solving and innovation.
These exchanges are a valuable source of information for decision-makers in both the public and private sector. This is a unique opportunity for them to build their network of contacts via European and national programmes such as Framework VII, INTERREG, URBACT and REFINA.
The conference will examine ways to develop forward-looking strategies in urban land management, a concept developed in response to the economic, financial and environmental crisis we face today.
The event will foster exchanges among international, national and local experts on a key issue for the future of our cities: the challenge of rehabilitating brownfields and districts which have been abandoned, deteriorated and impoverished by economic and social transformations.
Who should attend?
The CABERNET (Concerted Action on Brownfield and Economic Regeneration NETwork) conference is open to all professionals in the field of land management, town planning and territorial development.A wide range private, public and academic participants, active at the international and national level, will come to share their expertise, methods and innovative practices:
