- Ashvinkumar President, Singapore Institute of Architects Council Year 2010-2011
“CITYGREEN is a professional publication that features news, useful technical information and thoughtful attitudes and opinions written by leading experts. It is pivotal to have a publication like CITYGREEN, as a reference material for current greening theories, designs, projects and solutions in the region – published in Singapore, known as a ‘City in a Garden'. CITYGREEN will become a constant valuable resource material for researchers and students. As an educator on landscape architecture and a resident in Singapore, I am convinced that the reader will find this magazine to be stimulating and inspiring, even if not being a landscape architect. I look forward to the upcoming issues of CITYGREEN.”
- Dr. Joerg Rekittke, Associate Professor, National University of Singapore Program Director of the NUS Master of Landscape Architecture Program
Urbanicity review
In recent years Singapore has positioned itself as a flagship city for global urban sustainability. Events such as the World Cities Summit and Singapore International Water Week have confirmed this. In an age where urban greenery plays an increasingly significant role in the make-up of urban sustainability, it is therefore highly appropriate that it is Singapore, through its Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology, that has launched a flagship publication, CITYGREEN, which will play a significant role in encouraging and developing urban greenscape in other cities.
CITYGREEN shares the wisdom and experience of many Singaporean experts. As a magazine it is exceptionally well presented, highly readable and delightfully illustrated. Any modern city which appreciates the role of urban greenscape in overall urban sustainability can learn from Singapore, and CITYGREEN is the best medium through which to achieve this.
CITYGREEN is the platform for building the knowledge network to green our cities, for sharing and taking away.
We would like to encourage you to subscribe to CITYGREEN for your organization and help us spread the word to your partners.
