Executive Course 20-24 October 2008
Leading Cities:
Creating and Implementing Strategies that Work |
Following the great success of the Executive Course on Leading Cities last year, we are pleased to announce that the second course of IHS (Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies) will be held in October 2008.
Leadership is vital for cities to play a key role in the economic development and the lives of people. Innovative leaders develop creative visions and strategies for their cities and make these strategies work. This executive course aims to provide the know-how, skills and inspiration to develop creative strategies that prepare your city for the future, as well as concrete ideas on how to make the strategies work in terms of politics, processes, participation and partnership.
The course
The course analyses the development and implementation of city development strategies of Dutch cities like Rotterdam, The Hague and Amsterdam and cities around the globe. Leading faculties of IHS, Erasmus University and the cities concerned share their experience. Input will be invited from international agencies. International consultants from PwC will present their vision.
Who should attend?
Politicians, top executives and policy advisers working for national, regional and local governments, consultancy firms and those involved in international programmes such as the Cities Alliance.
