The 2008 World Water Week in Stockholm, August 17-23, will once again serve as the leading annual global meeting place for capacity-building, partnership-building and follow-up on the implementation of international processes and programmes in water and development. The First Announcement and Call for Abstracts for the 2008 World Water Week in Stockholm, "Progress and Prospects on Water: For a Clean and Healthy World" with special focus on sanitation issues, is now available online. Abstract proposals to the week's workshops can also be submitted now via an online form. The deadline for abstract submissions is February 1, 2008.
