Necessary cooperation between local authorities and researchers

The Forum aims at providing a unique platform to carry out worldwide discussions amongst those who have a deep knowledge of the risks and problems of mobility, in the hope of meeting the challenges of sustainable development. It will identify innovative issues, facilitate fruitful discussions and long-term exchanges, with a view to devising cross-continental cooperation projects on “research and territory”.

To this end, the steering committee has adopted an international joint approach, validated by the scientific committee, and has addressed 2 calls:

> a call for contributions focusing on the various actions put in place locally and on the past and current research programmes, as long as they are innovative and can be duplicated,

> a call for cooperation projects on the needs for actions for cooperation and potential research projects.

These two calls have generated about 100 proposals from more than 30 countries in all the continents and have permitted to build the framework of a joint and transversal programme for all the mobility players in the world, who will soon meet in Nantes.

The forum will offer plenary sessions, workshops and informal meetings.
